What is a BB Cream?
It is a Blemish Balm Cream, “originally formulated in Germany by Dr. med. Christine Schrammek,it was initially used by dermatologists to help laser surgery patients protect, soothe and refine highly sensitive skin while providing light coverage for post-laser scars, acne and other blemishes”-Wikipedia.
It became very popular in the Asian culture and became widely used in Asian dramas.
I noticed that the BB Cream is very popular between Asian women but not in Europe, America or the Middle East. Even the original formula of the BB Cream changed in some of the cosmetic brands and started using is as a makeup base, but they still call it a BB Cream.
Since i am keen into having the real Asian BB Cream, and i know that TheFaceShop is a Korean beauty shop specialized in natural/organic cosmetics so i thought i could find it there, and i did!
The original BB Cream is supposed to come in one or two shades, not more, and this is the annoying thing about it because BB Cream doesnt come transparent, it has a sheer foundation coverage effect.
Now if you will go looking for a specific brand you might not find it available in the Middle East but it can be found in the Asian market. Again the BB Cream culture is widely spread in Asia and its pretty common to use it (or this is what i read and heard).
So how to use a BB Cream?
Use it as a make up base/primer to enhance your skin and to make it look brighter and flawless.
Or use it as a tinted moisturizer, you can powder your face afterwards if you want.
